Phase 1 is VennAura's founding period — currently active in Austin, TX. Instead of an app, a human matchmaker reviews your depth profile and makes curated introductions one at a time. You meet someone when your concierge believes there's genuine resonance, not when an algorithm says there's statistical compatibility. Phase 1 runs through our founding cohort period before the full app launches in Phase 2.

Members who join during Phase 1 at the VennAura tier ($19/mo) retain that price as long as they remain active members — even when Phase 2 launches and standard pricing applies to new members. This is our commitment to the people who believed in VennAura before it was fully built. The locked rate applies to the tier you join at — upgrading is always available.

The Overlap Method is VennAura's coaching program, available with Premium and Reserve+ tiers. It's grounded in the philosophical principle that love is a practice, not a feeling that happens to you (informed by bell hooks, Esther Perel, and Plato). It helps you clarify what you're ready for, how to show up as your whole self, and how to build toward the kind of relationship you actually want — before, during, and after introductions.

Yes. VennAura has no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. Monthly memberships cancel at the end of the current billing period. Annual memberships are non-refundable but can be paused for up to 3 months if your circumstances change. Reserve+ members receive a dedicated contact for any account matters.

Currently (Phase 1), verification uses OTP via Signal/Twilio — a mobile number tied to a real identity. At scale (Phase 2), we use Persona, a third-party identity verification service, for additional assurance. All members are 18+, enforced with a server-side check. We believe safety is not a feature — it's the prerequisite for everything else we do. See our full Safety page for details.

For now, the Phase 1 concierge cohort is Austin-only — deep local community beats thin national coverage. Phase 2 will expand to other cities. Join the waitlist and indicate your city; you'll be first notified when we open your area. Austin was chosen based on large singles population, strong community signal, high median income, and Reddit/Discord community strength. NYC and London are next in the expansion sequence.
